Officers and firefighters put the victim in a medic unit.
The medic unit leaves for Providence.

Shortly after 6:30PM Police were called to the area of 38th and Rucker on reports of someone stabbed.
Officers searched the area and located a man in the alley behind the One Stop Deli and Grocery. He was suffering from a wound and medics were called.
The man was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center. At this time there is no word on his condition.
Patrol officers have searched the area but so far no suspects have been located and the investigation is in its very early stage.
