A Soggy Sunday in Everett

Storm drains can cause some unexpected surprises.

Rain made things difficult around Everett Sunday. Because of the threat of rain, Sound Transit decided not to run its train service to the Seahawks game. That turned out to be a good decision as a slide Sunday morning south of Everett blocked the tracks. That means both Amtrak and Sounder trains will not run from Everett to Seattle until Tuesday. Everett Public Works crews were also busy cleaning storm drains as water covered various roadways. The water in the pictures to the left is from the area of 110th street SE just east of 19th near the Silver Lake Safeway store.

Here’s the updated bus information from Sound Transit for Monday…

Northline Sounder service between Everett and Seattle is canceled for Monday December 29, 2014, due to a mudslide. Sound Transit will provide special buses with direct service to/from Northline Sounder stations in addition to local bus service. An update on evening bus service will be provided as it becomes available.
Morning bus service for 12/29/14

Everett-Seattle: Special buses will depart Everett Station at 5:45 am, 6:15 am, 6:45 am, and 7:15 am in the Greyhound loading area. Riders may also board regularly scheduled ST Express Route 510 departing approximately every 10 minutes

Mukilteo-Seattle: A special bus will depart Mukilteo Station at 6:26 am and 7:26 am at the traffic circle at the train platform. Riders may also board regularly scheduled Community Transit Route 417 at the Ferry Terminal departing at 5:49 am, 6:21 am, 6:51 am, 7:21 am, and 7:53 am

Edmonds-Seattle: A special bus will depart Edmonds Station at 6:41 am and 7:41 am at the north side of the Amtrak lot. Riders may also board regularly scheduled Community Transit Route 416 at Edmonds Station departing at 5:45 am, 6:15 am, 6:34 am, 6:55 am, and 7:42 am

Everett-Mukilteo:
·         Take Everett Transit 18 at Bay D2

Everett-Edmonds:
·         Take Community Transit Swift at Bay G1 to 196^th St SW & Hwy 99
·         Transfer to Community Transit 196

Mukilteo – Edmonds:
·         Take Community Transit 113 at Hwy 525 & Front St to Swamp Creek PR
·         Transfer to Community Transit 116
