When the deadline closed at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, seven residents had submitted application materials for Everett Public Schools Board of Directors Position 4. They are Zach Anders, Michelle Black, Daniel Mills, Traci Mitchell, Arletha Northrop, Kristine Petereit and Rodman Reynolds. Position 4 became available in early January when former board member Jessica Olson announced her resignation.
Mitchell and Petereit were among candidates previously considered and interviewed for appointment to Position 3, which was vacated in December. Reynolds was among the seven who applied for Position 3 and was one of two applicants not selected for the interview process. Anders, Black and Mills were not applicants in that earlier board member replacement process.
On Friday, Jan. 24, the board will review the application materials of applicants who met today’s deadline and expressed interest in serving as a director for the remaining two years of the vacated term of office.
Interviews and a final decision about who will be appointed to Position 4 will be made in an open public meeting on Monday, Feb. 3, 2014. The interviews begin at 3 p.m. in the Board Room of the Community Resource Center at 3900 Broadway in Everett.
