Events in Everett, Everett

The 2nd Sunday night of every month is Everett Comedy Night

Live comedy is back in Everett under the banner of Everett Comedy Night. According to promoter and comedian Cory Michaelis, the event began in May at the old Chopstix Piano Bar in downtown Everett where they were drawing crowds of over 200. When Chopstix closed the monthly comedy show moved to Emory’s at Silver Lake. “I host the show and bring in 2-3 other local and touring comedians,” said Michaelis. “The headliners are some of the best in the country and are winners of international comedy competitions and have made Comedy Central, late night TV, and Showtime & HBO appearances.”

The shows are held inside the Lakeside Bistro and Bar at Emory’s with food and drink specials every show. Showtime is at 8:30pm and admission is $10. Tonight will be the 5th show thus far and features Michaelis as well as David Crowe and Kane Holloway. The October show will be held on Sunday October 14th and feature Joe Vespaziani (winner of the Seattle Int’l Comedy Competition) and Duane Goad (Las Vegas and Vancouver Comedy Festivals) – co-creators of the Ultra Laugh Lounge Comedy Show.
