September 8, 2012

Everett, Everett Government

This Wednesday the Everett City Council will consider a major change in city law to allow hard liquor to be served at the City’s two public golf courses as well as inside the building and out on the Plaza at the new Village Theatre’s Youth Education Center at the corner of Wetmore and California in downtown Everett. If approved, liquor could be served at any property owned by the City of Everett. Here’s an excerpt from the summary prepared for the Everett City Council…

The ordinance further would allow consumption of hard liquor not only in the restaurants at the city owned golf courses but also outside on the greens. You can click on the lower photo to the left to read an excerpt that applies to the golf courses…

You can click here to see the entire proposed ordinance with the current language and proposed changes. The first reading of the ordinance is set for this Wednesday night at 6:30pm in the city council chambers at 3002 Wetmore in downtown Everett.
