50,000 to pass thru Comcast Arena for graduations

It’s a new record for the number of local schools using Comcast Arena at Everett for their commencement ceremonies. Officials say more than 50,000 people will pass thru the arena beginning tonight and running over the next ten days. In addition to putting so many people onto the streets of downtown Everett the graduations also provide much-needed hours for employees of Comcast Arena in Everett.

“We are honored to host such an important milestone to so many each year,” stated General Manager, Kim Bedier. “Another important part of our mission is to attract visitors to downtown Everett and we look forward to welcoming more than 50,000 again this year.” Bedier also mentions that an additional positive side effect with the multiple graduations, where no rationing of tickets is required, is the number of hours it provides for employees. Due to high demand for ice time, this is the first year the Arena ice will remain in throughout the summer. Here’s the schedule of upcoming commencement ceremonies…
