The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office has released a photograph of a suspect who they believe drove a truck, stolen from a construction site in Everett, over a Snohomish County Sheriff’s motorcycle patrol deputy earlier this month. Here’s their release from new PIO Shari Ireton…

Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office detectives are seeking help from the public in identifying a person of interest who may have information related to a hit and run of a motorcycle patrol deputy May 7, 2012.  The attached photo was captured on a security camera the same day in the Clearview area.

The accident occurred at the intersection of SR-2 and I-5 around noon when a white flatbed 1998 GMC truck with a “DDS Construction” logo on the door intentionally backed over the patrol officer during a traffic stop.  The truck had been reported stolen earlier that morning from a construction site at the 1100 block of Grand Ave in Everett. The stolen truck was later recovered from the 9500 block of 205th Ave SE in Monroe.

The deputy was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries and released that same day.

Anyone with information is requested to call the Sheriff’s Office Tip line at 425-388-3845.
