The City of Everett has activated its emergency operations center.
Just a few minutes ago, Governor Gregoire declared a state-wide emergency and authorized a call out of the National Guard if needed.
The Snohomish PUD says the number of people without power is on the increase with 5400 currently without power across Snohomish County.
