Everett Area Updates 2:00pm – Snohomish PUD says 11,500 Without Power

The Snohomish County PUD says the number of customers without power has been climbing. According to Mike Thorne, the total number of outages is now 11,500. It was 5100 at mid morning. Thorne says it’s mostly branches and trees weighted by snow and ice coming down on power lines.

A little ironic that the ice rink inside Comcast Arena Everett has closed because of all the trouble ice is causing for folks trying to get around on the streets outside.

All locations of the Everett Clinic will be shutting down at 5pm today.

The main Everett Library and Evergreen Branch will both close at 4pm.

It has been snowing in Everett almost non-stop since 7:00am this morning. The snow is mostly light and fine but it keeps piling up on icy roadways.
