No City of Everett Christmas Tree Above Hewitt and Colby This Year
City of Everett decides against annual Christmas Tree over Hewitt and Colby
Another holiday tradition has come and gone in Everett as this year the City will not be putting a lighted Christmas Tree above the intersection of Hewitt and Colby. City of Everett public information director Kate Reardon tells My Everett News that the old tree was wearing out and there were concerns about hanging anything directly over the street. Reardon says the city has still put up swags and other decorations on the historic street lamp posts in downtown Everett but there will be no more decorations directly over the street.
