Sporty's 12th annual Turkey bowling event starts at 6pm tonight

It’s time again for the 12th annual Turkey Bowl at Sporty’s Beef and Brew in Everett. In what’s become an Everett holiday tradition, participants roll frozen turkeys down a lane at special area set up right inside the sports bar. Prizes are awarded, people come dressed in costume and the competition gets fierce as frozen turkeys are hurled at pins all in an effort to raise donations of food and cash for the Volunteer’s of America food bank in Everett. Sporty’s co-owner Jack Comyn tells me it only costs $2.00 or a donation of canned food to enter. The competition starts at 6pm and lasts until the final bowler has had their shot. You do have to be 21 years of age. Sporty’s is located at 6503 Evergreen Way in Everett. See pictures of participants of Turkey Bowls past by clicking here.
