KSER Voice of the Community Celebration is Nov. 5th at the Everett Transit Station

Everett’s public radio station KSER at 90.7FM is getting ready to celebrate 20 years on the air. In addition to champagne, desserts and a live auction to raise funds, KSER will be honoring community members with their Voice of the Community awards. The event is set for Saturday November 5th at the Everett Transit Station. Leah Harrison of KSER says the Voice of the Community awards were established to recognize local voices that speak up about community or cultural concerns with positive results for the residents of Snohomish or Island counties. Nominees for the KSER 2011 Voice of the Community Award are Carol Schillios, Joe McIalwain, PoetsWest, GROW Washington, Greater Everett Community Foundation, The FARM Youth Outreach, Transition Port Gardner, Dr. David Beyer, Lya Badgley, Bill Reed, Monroe Swift Watch, Phillip McConnell, and Wendy McClure.
