Everett Police are searching for a man who set an apartment door on fire while a woman was inside.

It happened just before six o’clock this morning in the 1200 block of Poplar street in north Everett.

Everett Police spokesman Aaron Snell tells MyEverettNews.com the 50 year old woman was rescued by Everett Firefighters after they breached the door.

She was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center suffering from smoke inhalation. A K-9 was brought in from Monroe to search for the man but that search was unsuccessful.

Police believe they know who the suspect is and have probable cause for 1st degree arson and domestic violence. Here are a couple of photos from the scene this morning.
