Everett Police Department

Everett’s newest police officers are sworn in before the Everett City Council.

Last night the Everett Police Department swore in three recent graduates from the Washington State Police Academy. Mark Gist, Shawn Bell and Tad Halbert took their oath and got their badges. They’ll each now spend six months or so with a field training officer before going out on their own.

Recent retirements have led to promotions within the Everett Police Department. Rod Sniffen has been promoted to captain and will be overseeing the Investigations Division. Ryan Dalberg has been promoted to lieutenant and will take over as north night shift lieutenant. Tim Morgan has been promoted to sergeant and officer Tony Fletcher has been promoted to Master Police Officer.
