All fireworks are illegal in the city limits of Everett.

At the Everett City Council meeting last night Everett Police Chief Dan Templeman announced that extra officers will be added through the 4th of July to look for fireworks violations. Any and all fireworks are illegal in Everett and he said officers would be educating the public about the law again this year and there likely will be stepped up enforcement with a minimum fine of $257.00.

MyEverettNews.com has received several inquiries about whether you should call 9-1-1 to report fireworks violations. Everett Police Public Information Officer Aaron Snell tells us that they don’t want people to call 9-1-1 to ask about the rules but it is okay to call 9-1-1 to report violations within the Everett city limits.
