We’ve been reporting on the progress of the Gateway Middle School Robotics team and are happy to report they are on their way to the State Championships! Here’s the latest news from Everett Schools…

On Saturday, Feb. 22 in Ellensburg, WA, the Gateway Middle School Lego Guardians robotics team was awarded a trophy for robot design and was selected to advance to the next level…State Championships.

“A big deal considering only the top 10% of 590 teams from Canada and Washington get to compete in the state championships,” explained coach Brick Baldwin. “The team competed in Ellensburg at Central Washington University and was awarded a trophy for Best Mechanical Design.”

“Through the past four years the Lego Guardians have achieved several awards and acknowledgements,” added Baldwin. “Please join me in acknowledging the members of Gateways Lego Guardians on a job well done, they earned it!”
