Public Invited For Two MLK Day Celebrations In Everett This Week

The Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday is coming up Monday January 16th and with Pandemic restrictions behind us there are two in-person events happening in Everett, Washington this year. Both organized by the Snohomish County Black Heritage Committee and presented by a host of community partners. Here are more details:

Everett Memorial Stadium to Carl Gipson Ctr

January 13th, 2023

Join us for the March & Rally, Jan 13th – From Everett Memorial Stadium to the Carl Gipson Center. Beginning at 11:30am, our march is open to the entire community and we welcome all ages to participate. The march route is approximately 1 mile long. Rally held at Carl Gipson Center after, and includes speakers from our community, art & essays from the Prodigies For Peace Award Winners, and food trucks

January 15th, 2023

Join us for our Sunday Celebration at First Presbyterian Church, in Everett! This event features Sunday Service in conjunction with speakers, art & essays, and fellowship to celebrate Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and this year’s theme “The Urgency of Now; From Dream to Reality”

Both events are tentatively planned to be live streamed to the public – More information to come.
