“It’s been a challenge,” said TC. “Parts shortages, delivery delays and inflation have all combined to make things a bit harder than they used to be.”
Open in Everett for 8 years, they no longer sell cars but strictly repair what needs to be fixed on most any make or model. What TC told us five years ago still stands, “We fix cars, we don’t sell auto repair jobs.”
It’s a family business and customers are treated like family as well. The staff, TC, Oscar and Chris tend to take a little more time explaining repair options to people.
“We’re honest, upfront and straightforward when it comes to explaining what we found and what your choices are in getting your car fixed,” said TC. “We’re in this for the long-term with our customers and we involve them in all of the steps in the decision-making process, sometimes we tell them not to waste money with an unnecessary repair.”
Given the chip shortage and the lack of available new cars at area dealerships and big prices for used cars TC says people are hanging onto their vehicles longer and coming in for work to keep them in top shape instead of trading them in. The timeline for repair is stretched now due to delivery and supply chain issues.
“What used to take one day has stretched to several as we have to wait for parts,” explained TC. “Inflation has sent prices up and we’re trying to hold costs by cutting our profit margin and keeping things affordable for our customers.”
Pandemic issues also played a part as the staff suffered an outbreak last year causing a slowdown.
