Everett Police Blotter Weekend Updates

There was a lot going on in Everett since Friday afternoon so here is a bit more information on the stories we covered and a couple miscellaneous updates.

Friday afternoon Everett Avenue was blocked between Hoyt and Colby Avenues for several hours while traffic investigators looked into details surrounding the crash of a motorcycle and and Audi.
Everett Police say the motorcycle was reportedly stolen and the Audi and bike may have been involved in some type of road rage situation. Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances.

Everett Police are looking into whether gang activity is connected with a reported shooting Friday evening at Lions Park in south Everett off 75th street. Police recovered evidence in the park after shots were reported around 7:15 PM. A man who had been in the park turned up at Providence Regional Medical Center with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. He was dropped off by a vehicle and detectives are trying to obtain more information.

Saturday morning Everett Police issued a press release asking for the public’s help in locating Jesse Hartman who they named as a suspect in the murder of Wyatt Powell last month on Pecks Drive in Everett. Powell’s car was rammed and he had been shot. Hartman was arrested over the weekend by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents. He’s expected to be returned to Everett, Washington this week.

An investigator with the Everett Fire Marshall’s office spent most of the day Sunday going over the scene of a fire in a storage yard at 36th and Smith street. About 3:00 AM Sunday morning multiple vehicles were on fire including motorhomes, a boat and a large box truck. Everett Fire crews spent several hours on the scene.

Saturday night Everett Comics posted on their Facebook page that their giant FUNKO Batman has been recovered. Back in October we told you about a burglary at Everett Comics where the front window was shattered and a statue of a Funko Batman taken. Everett Police confirm that a burglary detective recovered the statue and they are still working the case. In the meantime the statue is safe at Everett PD.
