It has been a month of working on the building for the crew at the Totem.

The IHOP in south Everett is resuming take out service this week and diners will see a fresh look when they can come back inside.

The Vintage Cafe had been doing take-out but is now closed for the month of May

We’ve recently noticed several restaurants around Everett, Washington are using this time when they can’t have customers come inside to complete remodeling projects or take care of things they couldn’t normally do when operating at full capacity.

We checked in with long-time MyEverettNews.com sponsor Steve Jermyn who owns the Totem Diner about how things were going.

“A few of the team and I have been doing projects around the Totem,” Jermyn said.”Things that old buildings need, (Mostly things we would have never been able to do while open), and getting ready for any new requirements we will need to implement upon re-opening so its all good.”

The Vintage Cafe in downtown Everett and the IHOP in south Everett have also been undergoing remodeling while waiting for the go-ahead to welcome diners back to their tables.
