Change of Command for Everett Naval Station: Meet Captain Stacy Wuthier

Capt. Stacy Wuthier relieved Capt. Josh Menzel as commanding officer of Naval Station Everett today, April 04, 2024. The change of command ceremony was attended by military personnel, federal civilian employees, and guests from the local community.

Capt. Menzel had served as commanding officer since 2021. His next assignment is Chief of Staff at Navy Region Europe, Africa, and Central in Naples Italy.

Prior to arriving in Everett, Stacy Wuthier was stationed at the Nuclear Power Training Unit in Ballston Spa, NY as the Commanding Officer. She also commanded USS Jackson (LCS 6) Blue Crew homeported in San Diego, CA. At sea, she was Executive Officer aboard USS Jackson (LCS 6) and USS Omaha (LCS 12).

Captain Wuthier earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington and a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University. She was commissioned through the Officer Candidate School and the Nuclear Enlisted Commissioning Program in 2000.

Naval Station Everett is home to six U.S. Navy homeported ships and two U.S. Coast Guard vessels. The base enhances the nation’s ability to accomplish strategic objectives by supporting U.S. Naval and Coast Guard forces, while providing services to maintain readiness and quality of life for sailors, civilians, and their families.
