Southbound 529 Between Everett & Marysville to Close March 8th to 10th

Heads up on another weekend closure for State Route 529 from March 8th to 10th as part of the I-5 and SR 529 work.

Update: they cancelled the construction work due to the weather.

The project includes a new roundabout to link both directions of SR 529 with the I-5 freeway. But don’t get too excited, because that roundabout won’t be used for another year. Regardless, crews need to connect it to SR 529 and that is what they’ll be working on during the weekend March 8th-10th closure.

Specifics on the closure: Southbound SR 529 will be closed from 11 p.m. Friday, March 8, until 5 a.m. Sunday, March 10.

Once that section of paving is finished, people will continue to use the current detour to bypass the roundabout. That’s because the ramp construction ties into the roundabout, so crews need to leave it closed until the ramps are in place.
