The Everett Walmart again hosted EPD’s “Shop with a Cop”

200 kids got to “Shop with a cop” at the Wal Mart in Everett, Washington yesterday afternoon.

For over a decade the Everett Police Officers Association, their family members and volunteers put on the annual event that pairs a local law enforcement officer with kids and families to purchase items for the Holidays.

The EPOA spends the year raising funds and gathering donations for this annual event to benefit kids and families in Everett.

This year a record 227 kids were signed up with the program. Each child receives a $75.00 gift card and is paired with an officer to shop.

The kids can pick items for themselves but many chose gifts for their siblings, parents or other family members.

There’s photos with Santa, a gift wrapping station staffed by volunteers as well as a volunteer crew serving food, drink and desserts for the kids and their families.

Everett Police officers were joined by Washington State Patrol troopers and Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputies in shopping with the kids.

Here are a few more photos of last night’s event. Click photo to enlarge.
