Setup began early this morning on Colby between Wall Street and Hewitt.

Makers Market

48 vendors will fill two tents Friday and Saturday for the Makers Market on Colby with food trucks on Hewitt. Click for a list of vendors.

Colby is closed between Wall Street and Hewitt Avenue as tents go up to host a two-day Makers Market to officially kickoff Wintertide in Everett, Washington.

Santa will be arriving this (Fri) afternoon around 4:45 PM via Everett Fire Truck and at 5:00 PM will throw the switch to light the tree over Hewitt & Colby plus a plethora of holiday lights up and down the street.

Santa will then head inside the Historic Everett Theatre from 5:00 – 8:00 PM for FREE selfies with Santa so bring the kids and your camera or phone

The Makers Market will have 48 vendors in two tents with all kinds of great gifts that you won’t find in a big box store.

Saturday brings day two with special shop small savings at merchants up and down the streets in downtown Everett plus the makers market.

Free kids activities and a reindeer petting area are also happening Saturday afternoon.

Petrikor and Visit Everett Presents Mulled Wine and Simmer Pot Gift Kit Activity: Pop into Petrikor, located at 2816 Rucker, on Saturday, Nov. 25 starting at 11 a.m. at create your own simmer pot with friends until supplies are gone.

Live Holiday Music and Story Time at Historic Everett Theatre: The theater located at 2911 Colby will come alive with the joyous sounds of holiday-themed music, holiday movies and story time hosted by the Everett Public Library.

Santa’s Grand Arrival: Prepare for the thrill as the one and only Santa Claus arrives at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24. He’ll show up in style aboard an Everett Fire Truck, heralding the holiday season’s official commencement.

Tree Lighting: Witness the mesmerizing illumination of the downtown holiday tree and lighting displays. Santa lights up the place at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24.

Free Santa Photos: Catch a photo with Santa inside the Historic Everett Theatre. Santa will sit for photos on Friday, Nov. 24 from 5:30 – 8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 25 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Bring your own camera/phone.

Free Face Painting with Somebuddy: Under the big tent on Saturday, Nov. 25 from noon to 4 p.m., have your child’s face painted before meeting the reindeer or posing with Santa!

Cocoa and Cookies: Warm up in the company of your fellow revelers with hot cocoa and delicious holiday cookies on Friday, Nov. 24 from 3:30 p.m. onwards in the lobby of the Historic Everett Theatre. Thank you to Sno-Isle Food Co-op and First Presbyterian Church for donating cocoa and serving up the treats!

Meet Dasher and Dancer: On Saturday, Nov. 25, don’t miss the chance to meet two live reindeer, Dasher and Dancer, from noon to 4 p.m. They’ll be hanging out, resting up for their big day, near Wall Street on Colby (aka the south end of the closed party block).

This year’s Wintertide Kickoff Celebration is your gateway to the enchanting Wintertide Season. Take this opportunity to explore downtown Everett in all its charm, from its inviting shops and boutiques to its cozy pubs and delightful restaurants.

Parking
Be generous and save the street parking for those with limited mobility. Park in Everett’s FREE parking garage, Everpark. It’s smack-dab in the middle of all the action.
