Last evening, in South Snohomish County, Everett PD’s Anti-Crime Team and Violent Crimes Unit located a stolen vehicle that was the suspect vehicle in multiple crimes in Everett and surrounding jurisdictions.
The driver of the vehicle rammed into a police vehicle in an attempt to escape and then all 4 occupants of the stolen vehicle fled on foot. One occupant threw a pistol as he fled.
Three of the vehicle occupants were quickly apprehended, the fourth fled into a wooded area. A track was performed by EPD K-9 Saxon and the suspect was located in very heavy brush. Due to all of the branches and blackberry bushes between the suspect and K-9 Saxon, the suspect was able to get away. With the assistance of a drone and multiple agencies, he was later located and apprehended with the help of Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Boyer and his K-9, Knox.
All four occupants of the vehicle were found to be juveniles and were booked into Denney Youth Center.
Suspect 1 was booked on charges of Assault 2, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Hit and Run, Minor in Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, and resisting arrest.
Suspect 2 was booked for Minor in Possession of Alcohol and Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer. Also booked on a charge of Robbery 2 for a strong-arm robbery that had occurred earlier in the day in Mountlake Terrace.
Suspect 3 was booked for Minor in Possession of Alcohol and Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer.
Suspect 4 was booked for Minor in Possession of Alcohol, Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer and probable cause from a previous case for Taking a Motor Vehicle without Permission 2.
The vehicle was impounded as evidence.
Absolutely outstanding work by everyone involved. This was a great display of teamwork!
