Found a very helpful explainer of the various committees of the City Council in Everett, Washington on social media today so thought we’d pass it along here.

What are Everett City Council Committee meetigns?

Everett City Council Committee meetings consists of City Councilmembers, as well as staff liaisons from various City of Everett departments. During Council Committee meetings, Councilmembers are briefed and given an opportunity to ask pertinent questions on matters to be scheduled on future City Council meeting agendas.

Council Committees meet monthly on Wednesdays in the City Council Chambers from 5-6 p.m. The Budget Committee meets on an as-needed basis.
Everett Council Committees:
–Health and Human Services (1st Wednesday of each month, 5 p.m.)
–Built Environment (2nd Wednesday of each month, 5 p.m.)
–Parks and Quality of Life (3rd Wednesday of each month, 5 p.m.)
–Safe Community (4th Wednesday of each month, 5 p.m.)
–Budget (As needed on Wednesdays, 5 p.m.)
