Editor’s Update: 7:05 AM:
The northbound lanes of Evergreen Way have reopened to traffic as detectives continue to investigate a hit and run fatality. Everett Police now say two different vehicles hit a woman in the roadway in the 10100 block of Evergreen Way around 4:45 AM. The woman, who police say was in her 40s was first hit by a black SUV. Witnesses reportedly told officers two people got out of that vehicle, looked at the woman and then got back in the vehicle and left southbound on Evergreen Way. Then a second silver vehicle came through the scene and struck the victim and left.
Everett Police are asking anyone with information to call their tip line at (425) 257-8450.

This happened about 4:45 AM

(Initial Report 5:30am) All northbound lanes of Evergreen Way are closed between Olivia Park Road and 100th SW in Everett, Washington as detectives with the Everett Police Department investigate what a spokesperson called a pedestrian hit and run fatality.

It was reported about 4:45 AM.

Southbound traffic is getting through at this writing. (5:30am) Northbound is expected to be closed for a couple hours.
