Man arrested after showing up to court in a stolen truck, with stolen government plates, while already wanted for violating a no contact order!

Earlier this month our Community Bicycle Unit was dispatched to the Everett Municipal Courthouse when a male showed up to court who was already wanted by police for violating a no contact order. The male was known to drive blue F350s and when officers arrived at the courthouse, they noted that they saw one parked out front.

However, our officers thought it was suspicious when they noticed that the F350 had exempt government plates on it. Officers decided to investigate further and when they ran the plates, they did not return to an F350. Officers then checked the vehicle identification number and learned that not only did the truck have stolen government plates on it, but the truck was also listed as stolen.

Officers contacted and arrested the male inside the courthouse, who denied having arrived in the stolen F350. Our officers found this hard to believe though, as on him he had a key that would start the F350, courthouse video cameras recorded him arriving in and exiting the truck, and his driver license was found in the front seat of the truck.

The male was booked for both the violation of the no contact order and for possession of a stolen vehicle.
