Hoyt Standoff Suspect Surrenders To Everett Police

March 1, 2022

Police Blotter

Everett Police blocked 35th street for about 3 hours.

We received some questions about why 35th street between Hoyt and Rucker was shut down Monday evening.

From about 5:30 PM until 8:30 PM Everett Police were dealing with an assault suspect who was wanted for multiple felonies.

The suspect was in an apartment along with several others. Everett PD patrol officers surrounded the building and made P.A. announcements which the suspect ignored.

Others in the unit that contained the suspect did come out and neighboring apartments were evacuated while officers on scene prepared for the potential of a SWAT callout.

After two and a half hours the suspect did come out and surrender to patrol officers. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail and is expected to make a first court appearance Tuesday afternoon.
