While the plan is to go back to 100% in-person learning this fall in the Everett School District some parents have expressed a desire for their kids to stay in remote learning. Everett Schools are planning a way for that to happen for kids in kindergarten – eighth grade. Here’s more from the district.

Everett Virtual Academy coming fall 2021, registration now open!

As we finish up this school year, thank you all for your resiliency and support. We are so excited to be back in person 100% in the fall. We also know from our family survey earlier this spring there are some families who would like to pursue 100% remote learning because their child thrived in that environment. To serve those families, we are launching Everett Virtual Academy, a virtual school for grades K – 8.

Everett Virtual Academy (EVA) is a 100% remote learning program for students in kindergarten through 8th grade. The program is designed to engage students in grade level content and learning standards through a combination of live, synchronous learning (70% of student schedule) and asynchronous, independent learning (30% of student schedule). Students are required to attend live, instructional blocks through Zoom and to access online curriculum and resources through Canvas. Additional live small group time may be scheduled by the classroom teacher.
