Editor’s Update May 21st: MyEverettNews.com was contacted by a man who identified himself as a member of the family that owns the Skate Deck. He advised they have been flooded by calls from concerned customers and clarified that the power drop is for a different project and not for a construction trailer but was unable to comment further. The Skate Deck is open and if there are any changes they will be announced by the family.
Prior to the Pandemic plans were floated for a Wing Stop at the site of the former Denny’s on Evergreen Way. Recently work began on the space next to Panda Express and hiring signs have been posted. Word is they will open on May 28th.
Pre-Application meetings have also shown some interesting developments. It should be noted that these meetings are exploratory in nature and plans can change dramatically and the project may not move forward at all.
Some we have our eye on.
Chick-fil-A has a pre-application meeting next month with a proposal to turn the former Bank of America building on Everett Mall Way and West Mall Drive into a Chick-fil-A location with indoor and outdoor dining and a dual drive through lane.
Pacific Ridge Homes has recently completed a pre-application meeting where plans were outlined to build up to 83 single-family townhomes in the 9600 and 9700 blocks of 19th Avenue SE.
The two parcels mentioned contain an Alfy’s Pizza restaurant and the Everett Skate Deck.Again this information is from a pre-application and formal plans have not yet been finalized with the City of Everett.
Other items of interest we’ve found include a new 7-11 store at 75th and Hardeson Road, a new Laundry Genius laundromat set to open in July at the corner of Bruin Boulevard and Evergreen Way in south Everett and an Amazon package delivery dispenser in the parking lot of 7903 Evergreen Way.
We’ll keep an eye on these and other projects and let you know what we find out.
