Police Blotter

Everett Police gather evidence at the apartment Wednesday morning.

A fight between two roommates at the Riverview Apartments on East Grand Avenue shortly after midnight Tuesday is under investigation by detectives from the Everett Police Major Crimes Unit.

According to initial reports from Everett Police in a probable cause document, a 20-year-old woman who lived at one of the new apartments claimed to be trying to leave a loud party when she said she was attacked by her roommate. During the assault she took out a knife on a workman’s tool and stabbed the roommate multiple times. She met arriving officers in the parking lot and was taken into custody. The woman who was listed as five feet tall and under 100 pounds reportedly told officers she had the knife ready as she was much smaller than her roommate. Medics were called and transported the woman who had been stabbed to Providence Regional Medical Center.

Wednesday morning detectives served a search warrant at the apartment and were seen leaving with evidence. No word at this time on the condition of the woman in the hospital. The woman taken into custody spoke with detectives and then was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of felony assault. She is expected to make a first court appearance Wednesday afternoon. We’ll update the story as more information becomes available.
