Editor’s Update 1:00 PM: After a four-hour search the suspect was located and taken into custody. Here is the release put out this morning by Everett PD.
Just before 10:00 p.m. last night, officers responded to the report of a stabbing that occurred at a residence in the 300 block of Bedrock Dr and found a 62 year-old male with multiple stab wounds. The male was immediately transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with life-threatening injuries. The suspect, a 21 year-old man, had fled the residence on foot. Officers contained the area and initiated a K-9 search. After almost 4-hours, the suspect was located and arrested without incident.
Major Crimes detectives responded to the scene and determined the injured male lived at the residence with the suspect and his father. The investigation will continue.
There is no update on the victim’s condition.
The suspect was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on probable cause for assault 1st degree – domestic violence.
Everett Fire and Police units were called to the area of Bedrock and Pebble Place.
Multiple K-9 units and a drone were used to search for the suspect.
Everett Major Crimes Detectives are investigating a stabbing in Central Everett. At this point not a lot of information is available.
We do know that Everett Police responded to multiple reports about some type of disturbance in the area of Bedrock and Pebble Place just after 10 PM Wednesday night.
Arriving officers found a person who had been stabbed.
Medics were called and the stabbing victim was rushed to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett.
As detectives were working the crime scene, multiple K-9 units and patrol officers spent hours searching the neighborhood for a suspect. A drone was also brought in to assist.
As of this writing the search was ongoing. We’ll provide an update as information becomes available.
