Two Arrested For Murder After Stabbing At Motel On 128th Street

SCSO Major Crimes detectives have been working the case since early this morning.

Word in from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office about a murder committed just outside of the south Everett City limits early Friday morning.

At approximately 2 a.m., deputies responded to a homicide in the 200 block of 128th Street SW. The victim, a 45 year-old Lake Stevens man, suffered a stab wound to his neck and died at the scene. During the investigation, witnesses identified two suspects and their vehicle that was seen fleeing the scene. At 3 a.m., deputies located the suspect vehicle southbound on I-5 and made a traffic stop near 164th Street and Ash Way in Lynnwood. The driver and the passenger in the vehicle were positively identified by witnesses and detained. Following interviews with Major Crimes Unit detectives, both suspects, a 26 year-old Lynnwood man and a 22 year-old Everett man, were arrested and booked into Snohomish County jail for murder.

This is still an active investigation. Identification of the deceased, as well as cause and manner of death are pending from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.
