Some Everett Primary Results Will Have To Wait

election Some things became clear after the first vote count in the primary election but other races involving Everett are going to take a bit for the mail-in votes to come in and be counted.

In the race for Position 2 on the Snohomish County Council which represents Everett as well as Mukilteo and Tulalip one ballot position is clear. Anna Rohrbough, who says she prefers the Republican Party took 36.35% of the vote.

Her opponent in the general election is still to be determined as Jennifer Gregerson shows 12.54%, Megan Dunn shows 12.46% and Cecilia Wilson shows 11.08%. All three say they prefer the Democratic Party.

In the Everett School District contest, Position 1 looks to pit Jamyang Nhangkar (41.79%) against Andrew J. Nicholls (35.68%) while Position 2 shows April Berg (42.62%) against Brian Hollingshead (39.20%).

In the primary for Port of Everett Commissioner District 1 David Simpson topped the field with 41.75% of the vote while incumbent Bruce Fingarson came in second at 30.67%.

The next vote count happens Wednesday evening at 5 PM.
