Over the past decade Claudia McClain and her staff at McClain Insurance have provided more than 1300 flags through this annual event.
On Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week you can exchange a worn flag. Here’s more information from the great folks at McClain Insurance in Everett, Washington.
Exchange your worn American flag for a new one at the McClain Insurance office June 11-14. All community members are invited to this free event, which is held annually in celebration of Flag Day. Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the U.S. flag by the Continental Congress in 1777.
“Our goal is to help Snohomish County residents showcase their American spirit this Flag Day and beyond,” says Claudia McClain, founder of McClain Insurance. “Our deepest thanks go out to those who serve and have fought in defense of our freedom.”
Flags will be exchanged June 11-14 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the McClain Insurance office at 10410 19th Ave SE, Everett, directly south of Costco.
McClain Insurance proudly gives away flags made in America. According to data from the U.S. Census Bureau, more than 90% of American flags are imported.
Retired flags will be respectfully disposed of in a ceremony held by local Boy Scouts.
