Trooper Injured By Suspected DUI Driver On I-5 In Everett

According to the Washington State Patrol a Trooper was in his patrol vehicle during a traffic stop alongside Interstate 5 in Everett, Washington when a driver slammed into the Trooper’s car.

Both the person who was driving the car that struck the WSP vehicle and the Trooper were transported to Providence Regional Medical for injuries.

Trooper Heather Axtman with Washington State Patrol provided the photo and reported that the causing driver has been arrested for DUI. There is no word on the severity of injuries at this time. The crashed blocked two southbound lanes of Interstate 5 at about 60th. It was reported shortly after 6:30 PM.
