At the City Council meeting at 12:30 PM Wednesday Liz Vogeli will be sworn in and join the council at position 4.

She defeated Tyler Rourke in the General Election and both topped Ethel McNeal in the September primary.

Since McNeal was appointed to the seat her term ended today with certification of the vote instead of the end of the year.

Vogeli takes over now having been elected. Her term is for one year and the seat will be back on the ballot in 2019.

Again voters have said yes to council districts and electing five of the seven city council members by geographic district with the other two city-wide.

Voters also lifted the levy lid for Emergency Medical Services funding to prior levels.
