Everett Police investigating the crash scene.

The westbound lanes of 526 are shut down at Seaway as Everett Police investigate a fatal crash.

Shortly after 12:30 AM Boeing Fire reported a vehicle had come off the Boeing Freeway onto their property and then caught fire.

Boeing Fire, Everett Fire and Everett Police all responded.

The driver of the vehicle could not be rescued and was believed to be the only occupant according to officials on the scene.

In looking at the crash site it appears the car was northbound on Airport Road.

Instead of curving at the eastbound on-ramp to the Boeing Freeway it crashed through a concrete barrier and became airborne.

The car flew over the concrete divider between east and westbound 526, over the bridge, over the exit ramp from 526 to Airport Road, over a fence and onto the Boeing parking lot where it burst into flames.

As of this writing at 2:00 AM, detectives with the Everett Police Traffic Safety Unit are investigating and no further information is available.

Here are a few MyEverettNews.com photos taken from the scene.
