Everett residents and volunteers will join together at Hannabrook Park on October 27th from 9am – noon to help plant a native forest and care for the park’s natural areas.
Tools, gloves, coffee, snacks, and instruction all provided! There will also be prizes and gifts from local businesses.
Green Everett Day provides an excellent learning experience for kids and aspiring gardeners alike. Volunteers will have an opportunity to celebrate their local forested parks and give back to their community. Tools and instruction will be provided on how to plant trees and shrubs properly to ensure a long and healthy life.
All ages are welcome and no experience is necessary. There will be snacks, refreshments and some special surprises! Interested persons are encouraged to RSVP, but it is not required.
Everett Parks and Community Services and Forterra created the Green Everett Partnership to improve the health of Everett’s forested parks and natural areas. The program relies on volunteers to help restore these urban habitats. Learn more at everettwa.gov/greeneverett.
