The Everett Silvertips will host the Portland Winterhawks in Game 5 of the second round of the 2018 WHL Playoffs on Friday night, 7:35 p.m. at Angel of the Winds Arena. The Silvertips lead the best-of-seven series, 3-1 and can advance to the Western Conference Final and eliminate the Winterhawks with a victory in downtown Everett on Friday. The Silvertips will play in their 18th game in franchise history when forcing elimination, carrying a record of 11-6 in such situation. The Tips forced the elimination game on Thursday with a 3-2 victory in Game 4 at Moda Center over the Winterhawks, taking a lead in the best-of-seven series, 3-1.
