Runners And Tulip Lovers To Impact Traffic In Everett Sunday

A couple of things to keep in mind Sunday if you are driving in the greater Everett, Washington area.

First, the Everett Half Marathon will impact West Marine View Drive, the 10th street boat launch and Highway 529 between Everett and Marysville from 8 AM until Noon.

More than 1000 runners are expected to participate. The event begins and ends at the 10th street boat launch on the Everett waterfront. Parking is available in three lots around the boat launch and the North Marina.

Sunday morning starting around 11 AM you can expect heavy traffic on Interstate 5 through Everett. It won’t be a crash or road work but the crush of cars heading to the Tulip Fields in Skagit County. Happens every year so pack some patience for the trip north.
