Cassie Franklin Wins Everett Mayor’s Seat
Tonight’s count confirms Cassie Franklin is Everett’s next Mayor.
While the election won’t be certified until November 28th, today’s results left no doubt that Cassie Franklin will be the next Mayor of Everett.
With a 198 vote separation the few remaining uncounted ballots are not enough to bring Judy Tuohy to a mandatory recount and tonight she reportedly called Cassie Franklin and conceded.
As of 5 PM, voter turnout registered 33.10% with Cassie Franklin at 7803 votes and Judy Tuohy at 7605. The write in total sits at 2802. Neither Tuohy or Franklin were at tonight’s Everett City Council meeting with both away on previous commitments.
