Franklin Leads Everett Mayor’s Race By 199 Votes With 400 Left To Count
Close but not close enough to trigger a mandatory recount.
The latest vote count shows Cassie Franklin leading Judy Tuohy in the race for Everett Mayor. We checked in with Garth Fell at the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office regarding the number of ballots left to count and the possibility of a mandatory recount. Here’s his email reply…
There are about 400 ballots left to count. And yes, it is currently out of mandatory recount range. Recount range ultimately is based on the final counts for the top two candidates but it will be somewhere around 75 votes difference between the two candidates.
Another count to be released at 5:00 PM tomorrow. A candidate may ask for a recount out of the mandatory range but will have to pay for the cost to get that done.
Everett, Mayor, votes
