Man In Critical Condition After Kick In The Head At 36th and Smith Street

A 41-year-old man has been arrested for investigation of 1st degree assault after another man was found on a mattress with severe head injuries in the 3600 block of Smith street Monday night.

According to Sgt. Maryjane Hacker with Everett Police, aid crews and police were called to a man down on a mattress in the 3600 block of Smith street shortly after eleven o’clock.

There they found a 47-year-old man with severe trauma to his head. The man was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

People in the area pointed out a 41-year-old man who had reportedly kicked the other man in the head. That man was interviewed by Everett police officers and booked into the Snohomish County Jail early this morning for investigation of 1st degree assault. He is expected to make an initial court appearance tomorrow.
