Everett Fire Marshal Resigns
McNulty’s last day will be August 7th.
After five months on the job, Leroy McNulty has announced his resignation as Everett Fire Marshal. His last day is scheduled for August 7th. He tells MyEverettNews.com he’s resigning to take care of his wife who recently had back surgery. McNulty, who came out of retirement to take the position, was appointed in February by Eric Hicks. Hicks became Fire Chief in January and resigned after just four months on the job.
Timothy Key was named Interim Fire Chief on May 30th by Everett Mayor Ray Stephanson. With Stephanson retiring at the end of the year it will be up to the winner of the Mayor’s race to appoint a permanent Fire Chief. In the meantime the City of Everett is advertising the Fire Marshal position through the 28th of this month. The salary range for the position ranges from $9,696.00 – $12,629.00 Monthly.
