Everett, Police Blotter

Editor’s Update Wednesday Jan 18 2:45 PM: A Snohomish County District Court Judge today found there was probable cause to hold a 30-year-old Everett man on $100,000.00 bond on multiple counts of 1st degree robbery during robberies and attempts at multiple espresso stands earlier this month. The attorney for the man tried to argue that because no weapon was seen, not even an outline, that the crimes should be considered 2nd degree robbery. The judge ruled four different times that the level of the crimes was 1st degree. The judge said the man was implying he had a weapon by his words, gestures and confession to police. The fact that no gun was located didn’t change how the barista felt during the robbery. It will now be up to Prosecutors to file formal charges against the man within 3 days.
