Everett, Police Blotter

The store mannequins may have proved too much of a draw for one man.

Police examine a broken window on the side of the store.

The suspect is put into the back of an Everett Police SUV.

Everett Police prematurely ended a suspected burglar’s enjoyment of his loot following a break in at Love Zone on Evergreen Way this morning.

Shortly before 8:30 AM Everett Police responded to a burglar alarm at the store in the 5700 block of Evergreen Way. An arriving officer found a broken window and called for backup.

While waiting for backup the officer spotted a man doing something in a small area behind the business.

The man noticed additional police officers arriving and reportedly became agitated.

The man fought with officers as they tried to take him into custody.

From the scene it appeared he was attempting to use one of the stolen items immediately instead of making sure he completed his get-away.

He’s now set to be booked into the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of burglary.
