3 Displaced In Colby House Fire

A portion of the south wall of the house had to be opened up on both sides to make sure all of the fire was extinguished.
A family of three was displaced Saturday evening following a house fire in the 1600 block of Colby in north Everett.
The fire was reported around 5:15 PM. The home owner told MyEverettNews.com he heard a popping sound in the wall and found fire.
He said he tried to put it out with buckets while firefighters were on the way.
Everett fire crews opened both the interior and exterior walls to get to the fire. They also had to remove part of the ceiling in the main level of the house.
An inspector is on scene. No word yet on the exact cause of this Colby house fire or a damage estimate. Click photos to enlarge.
