Man Shot In Fight At Condo South Of Everett

Editor’s Update 11/9/15 9:00 AM: This morning MyEverettNews.com was contacted by a man who said he was the 24-year-old involved in the case. He said there was much more to the story than was in the press release. We contacted Shari Ireton with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office who provided the following additional information via e-mail:

“No arrest made. Shooter is cooperative with investigation. Victim out of surgery in critical care.”

A 35-year-old man has been taken to Harborview Hospital after being shot multiple times at a condo south of Everett. Here’s what we know so far from a press release just issued by the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspected shooter surrendered to deputies.

Everett, Wash. – at about 3 p.m. today, a 35 year old man was shot when he returned to the apartment he shares with two others, a 24 year old man and that man’s girlfriend. The incident occurred at the Bunkhouse Condos located in the 900 block of 130th St. SE Everett. The two men became involved in an argument that became a physical fight and at some point the 24 year old man drew a pistol and shot the other man multiple times. The female roommate was not injured and is cooperating with investigators.
The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and his current condition is not known. The shooter surrendered to arriving Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies without incident and is in custody. The firearm was also recovered. Major Crimes Unit detectives are conducting the investigation at the scene.
